-I read this book at the beginning of the year, so this review is way overdue. 

-I have always respected Karl Rove, but this book has only increased my respect for him and President Bush. It was fascinating to see how things took place behind the scenes. A lot of it confirmed things that I thought at the time. 

-I met him at Sean Hannity's Take Back Our Country Event, and he was genuine and kind.  I have a good friend who used to work with Rove and Bush back in Texas while Bush was running for Governor, and he vouches that Rove is the real deal.

-I highly recommend reading it!

41: A Portrait of my Father

-President George W. Bush has written a new book entitled, 41: A Portrait of my Father.  This book isn't about himself or his presidency, but about his beloved father.

-I loved his first book, Decision Points, even more than I thought I would.  So, I'm looking forward to reading this new book.

-He has made appearances on CBS Sunday Morning and the Today Show.  I've watched both of them and I'm excited to see Sean Hannity's interview with him on Thursday.


-On CBS Sunday Morning, Bob Schieffer interviewed Bush, below are the opening comments to the first part of the interview:

In all our history, we've had just two sets of father-and-son Presidents . . . John and John Quincy Adams; and George H. W. and George W. Bush. The younger George Bush (President # 43) has quite a bit to say about his father (#41), and in an interview at his Presidential Library in Texas, George W. Bush has much to tell our chief Washington correspondent Bob Schieffer.

No Higher Honor!--Condi Rice

Condoleeza Rice has now come out with her 2nd book. The 1st book was about her family, and I got an autographed copy when she came to Kansas City. It was entitled, Extraordinary, Ordinary People.

Rice's latest book is entitled, No Higher Honor and it is about her 8 years in the White House. She shares a lot in her interview with Hannity in the above videos.

Democracy is a beautiful thing!~~George W. Bush's response to last Tuesday's election results

I love this man!!! What an awesome response in the above quote. I am thoroughly enjoying all of the interviews Bush is doing for his book, Decision Points. It reminds me how much I miss having a real man in the White House.

I am hoping he comes to KC on his book tour. I am looking forward to getting my copy of Decision Points soon.

Taking Our Country Back w/ Sean Hannity and Karl Rove in KC!

Saturday was an awesome day!! The "Taking our Country Back Tour" made a stop in Kansas City with Laura Ingraham, John Rich, Karl Rove and Sean Hannity.

Before the show, I got autographs and pics taken with Sean Hannity and Karl Rove. They are both amazing, genuine and gracious men in person. I enjoyed all the talks, even Laura Ingraham's. She lost some of my support in recent years when she relentlessly went after Bush over the immigration issue towards the end of his presidency. Yet, she encouraged everyone on Saturday to support good, conservative Republicans instead of wandering down the 3rd party road like some seem destined to do.


Karl Rove gave an incredible talk and just amazes me with his grasp on the issues. He is so disarming that its hard to see why anyone would hate him. I then remind myself that the left will attempt to destroy anyone they perceive as a threat, and Rove is definitely that.

He also gave some specific ways to make sure Republicans win in November.


John Rich won my support when he denounced Phelp's horrible clan (that was picketing outside) by saying there was a special place in hell for them. I still cannot fathom the evil that it takes to protest at a funeral of a soldier who has died for his country.


Sean Hannity brought the house down as usual, the crowd roared when he came out. He is definitely a Republican Rock Star for so many reasons! For one thing, he is the real deal! He started off by pointing out how bad things were and then moving onto the good news and what we could do to take our country back! I left there feeling optimistic about our country's future, and ready to get to work!

Sean Hannity Sits Down with Rush Limbaugh!

Last night Sean aired Part 1, part 2 is supposed to air tonight. I didn't get to watch it live, because I was at a friend's house watching Lost and getting my Sawyer fix. I'm way over due to do a Tv post, so the first chance I get, I'll be doing one of those.

Sean Hannity Interviews Sarah Palin--Part 2

Hannity told OneNewsNow that his interview with Sarah Palin will be a stark contrast from the grilling she received from Charlie Gibson of ABC News. The interview, he explained, is "not about me," but about her -- because she is, after all, the vice-presidential candidate.

"She's got a compelling story to tell," stated Hannity. "And to the extent she can say these things in her words -- where she stands, her values, her principles, where she goes to to make decisions -- that is what I'm going to try to let her say to the American people, unfiltered, without an agenda, without a bias, without playing 'gotcha,' in her own words. That's my goal."

Hannity says Americans will look back at 2008 as "the year journalism died." He contends reporters have asked tougher questions of Sarah Palin and her 17-year-old daughter the past few weeks than they have about Senator Obama's relationship with "an unrepentant terrorist" who bombed the Pentagon.

Also, Jim at Gateway Pundit has the latest on the hackers who broke into Palin's private email account. I love how liberals complain about wiretapping terrorists but have no problem posting contact info for Palin's children, possibly endangering their safety. As if the AP hasn't already shown poor judgment in the past, they have refused to comply with Secret Service on the issue.

I'm on Cloud 9!!

This past Saturday I wrote a post entitled, Why I adore Sean Hannity. I talked about how Sean Hannity expressed some of the very same frustrations with the Republican race that I had and how we saw things in similar ways.

Imagine my surprise when I got an email from him this morning thanking me for the post. Then, when the call screener called me about being on the show she wanted me to talk about Obama and Hillary. I said I wanted to talk about McCain and Huckabee and she was against it until I told her about the email. Then she said, Wow, okay go ahead and mention it.

Sean was so gracious. Not only did he remember my website but he remembered that I had an internet radio show. He let me talk about both and was very sweet. He said he had found my post through the KC Star and someone else also alerted him to my post. It was awesome!! I then got to talk with him about how I had the same frustrations with the Drive By Media forcing the 2 most liberal candidates on us. It was great.

I got to talk to him before the show started so they must have pre-taped it today. The 2 other times I got through I was on the air right away but this time they called me back from Friday. I thought it was going to air around 2:40 ish CST but that has passed so it could possibly be on around 3:40 or 4:40 ish. I have no idea, except I assume it will be on sometime today.

Why I Adore Sean Hannity

As many of you may remember I used this picture for my icon picture for a long time in the beginning. The reason being that I am a big Sean Hannity fan.

When we were live blogging the another night we had a newcomer start to criticize Hannity. For me those are fighting words. It is not that Hannity is perfect or never wrong but there is so much to love about him. He and Rush are my favorite talk show hosts by far but I like the two of them for different reasons. I like Sean because he has a similar personality to me, he is a genuine Christian and he genuinely cares about people. Aside from all of that he and I seem to see politics through a very similar prism. When pressed to describe my radio style I would have to say the closest analogy would be that I am a female version of Sean Hannity.

I was reminded of all this yesterday when he started out his show expressing some of the very thoughts that I've been having lately. He has done an extremely good job up until now of staying pretty objective on all the Republican candidates praising them each for their strengths. He always reaffirms that any of them would be far better than any of the Democrats and he has given them all many opportunities to be interviewed on his radio and TV show.

There have been some accusations by others that he was pro-Rudy and I thought about this and had to admit that I hadn't noticed it. The reason being that I like Rudy for the same reasons that Sean likes him and so it all resonated with me. That said, I still think he has been more than fair to the rest of the candidates, a lot fairer than I would've been.

Yet, yesterday he finally admitted his frustration with the fact that the Drive By Media seems to be promoting two Republican candidates. He is frustrated with the fact that they are promoting McCain and Huckabee, who he deemed to be the two most liberal candidates of the five front runners. As he continued it was all music to my ears. He was expressing the exact frustration that I have been feeling about the whole race. He said it was unfair to say that it is over for Romney if he doesn't win Michigan or for Thompson if he doesn't win South Carolina. He didn't like the fact that the Drive By Media was trying to force two liberal candidates on us. We should be able to vote for who we like the best, not who we are told is viable.

I was so encouraged that he finally started talking about the liberal records of both McCain and Huckabee. He also referred to David Limbaugh's latest column where Limbaugh does a great job of exposing Huckabee's record as well. It was so refreshing that I finally called into the show at the end while I was on my way to Karate. The call screener said she was looking for liberals. I laughed and said well, that wouldn't be me. She then took my information down and said they would call for me to be on the show for Monday. I'm not sure if it is guaranteed but if I do get to talk to him on Monday I will be sharing these exact thoughts. You go Sean Hannity!!
