Geffen, Hillary and Obama--Way too Enjoyable

"Everybody in politics lies, but they do it with such ease, it's troubling," Geffen said of the Clintons in a New York Times interview published Wednesday.

I hate to admit it but watching Hollywood people going after Bill and Hillary is pretty enjoyable. You know it is really, really bad if even people from Hollywood have a problem with your morals :-). Geffen spoke the truth when he uttered the following words but anyone who knows the Clintons know they don't take this kind of stuff lying down:
"Mr. Geffen said the Clintons lie “with such ease, it’s troubling” and that the Clinton political operation “is going to be very unpleasant and unattractive and effective.” Mr. Geffen called Mr. Clinton a “reckless guy” who had not changed in the last six years, and suggested that Mrs. Clinton was too scripted."

It was almost ludicrous when Hillary's campaign said the following:
"...called on Mr. Obama to sever his ties to Mr. Geffen and return the portion of the $1.3 million that Mr. Geffen helped raise on Tuesday at a reception in Beverly Hills."

Then Obama really impressed me with this response:
"...saying it was “ironic that the Clintons had no problem with David Geffen” when he was “raising them $18 million and sleeping at their invitation in the Lincoln Bedroom.”
Ouch!! I think it was Rush that brought up that Obama's campaign definitely did their homework. They knew that the Clintons have a hit machine and they go after their enemies. The ironic thing to me is Hillary can't blame this on the right wing conspiracy this time.

This will be interesting to see how it all pans out. I'm rooting for Hillary to get the Dem nomination because I think the Republicans have a better shot against her. Yet, how vicious will the 2 campaigns be willing to be? Any dirt they dig up now will be fodder for the Republican nominee in the general election. Also, I'm betting a lot of money Hillary is pretty ticked that her coronation isn't going as smoothly as she planned.

Meanwhile, Bill Richardson is trying to play Mr. Nice guy and asking everyone not to say negative things about each other. Did he not work in the Clinton White House? Hello?? On what planet is he living on? Richardson is on drugs if he thinks any of the Democrats are going to listen to him, especially the Clinton hit machine.
