Pastor Saeed is an Inspiring Example While in an Iranian Prison!

Pastor Saeed Abedini is an American citizen, but is being held in an Iranian prison where he has been since last September.  Before that he was under house arrest.  Pastor Abedini is in Evin Prison in Tehran, it is considered to be one of Iran's most brutal.

The above video is a reading of a letter that Pastor Abedini sent to his wife.  I am amazed at how strong his faith is during this horrific time.  Today on Air1 radio they were talking about Abedini's situation and shared a radio interview they had with his wife.  She said that Abedini is showing love to all those that torment him.  A guard actually had tears in his eyes after how Abedini responded to a beating he had given him.

This so inspired me and it was the ultimate application of my Pastor's sermon this past Sunday.  He talked about finding our spiritual gifts, but that every Christian should be loving God and loving people.  He said that we needed to go out and be loving on people.  Pastor Abedini is doing this under the most extreme of circumstances. 

The ACLJ (American Center for Law and Justice) has a petition you can sign to encourage his release.  Please pray for this godly man's release, but that while he is still in prison he would continue to be a witness.
