Obama's First Executive Order Bites the Dust!

“We will never allow terrorists to be released in the United States”--Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV)
A major defeat...
A Clear Setback for Obama...
A hasty decision...
A victory for Republicans...

The Vote--90-6

Call it what you want, but when you can only get 6 of the most liberal senators to back you up, you've got a problem. Obama's first executive order was that Gitmo would close down in one year. Yet, the Democrat controlled House and Senate both voted against it by overwhelming numbers.

He didn't have a plan.
He didn't anticipate that no one would want the Gitmo prisoners in their own backyard.
He didn't realize that making decisions as President is different than campaigning. Eventually, you have to stop appeasing those kook, fringe leftists.
It doesn't help that, 1 in 7 Freed Detainees Rejoins Fight.
