Awesome Sign, Tag, Rush & Clooney

I found the photo of this awesome sign at Texas Fred's and couldn't resist posting it. I think this says it all and speaks for itself.

I've fallen prey to the Blog Tag and since as Robosquirrel said there is no immunity I have at least 5 weird habits that I can share.

1) I wouldn't consider myself obsessive compulsive but I'm one of those people that check my doors several times every night to make sure they are locked.

2) I drink lots of caffeine free coke and love candy bars.

3) I'm a night owl.

4) I don't like to cook and like to eat out but workout at the gym hoping somehow that will compensate :-).

5) I like to go to sleep watching Little House on the Prairie or a Jane Austen movie.

We got some good news yesterday when Rush Limbaugh finally had a legal victory in the Florida courts. This witchunt against Rush has been so ridiculous even the ACLU has been trying to help him.

George Clooney is getting in line behind Tim Robbins to also express his dislike of Hillary for not being liberal enough. I must admit I'm getting a lot of enjoyment out of the fact that Hillary isn't good enough for the Hollywood Left.

Hi Little Miss Chatterbox, wanted to drop by and welcome you to the American Conservative Web Ring.

You have a great looking blog here. After reading the description of your blog I noticed that we have a bit in common, not just being both bloggers (though mine is small and in no way can compare to others), I too and a Conservative Christian and homeschooling mom.

Again, welcome to the Web Ring,

Loved the sign! By the way, I've fallen asleep to Little House on the Prairie many times. My hubby had on "Scarface" the other night. There is no way you can have good dreams with that movie blaring in your bedroom at bedtime.

Great blog you've got. Conservative blogs do dominate - no doubt about it! You call thos wierd habits?

Little Miss Chatterbox said...

Littleolelady: Thanks.

Maria: Yah, Scarface is not a comforting show to fall asleep too :-).

Greta: Thanks for stopping by my blog. Yah, I don't know if you can classify those habits as weird maybe just different than others. Although there are probably many that have similar habits and I'm just not aware of it :-). In reading some of the others' 5 weird habits there were some who shared way too much info of things I didn't want to know :-).

Yeah, I should've thought of that whole "not tagging anyone else thing" I just figured folks could do it if they felt like.

One of these days, when I'm home in Minnesota, I want to go see the real life Walnut Grove. I have seen the largest ball of twine in Minnesota, however.

LMC, Thanks for the *props* on the link to the sign but I *borrowed* it from another blogger myself... :)

LittleOleLady is the original founder of the Web Ring, we kinda work it together... Our spouses know we work well together...LMAO..

LittleOleLady is a hoot, she is also one of my Admins at the forum...

That's a GREAT sign! Too bad only a few will say what needs to be said.
That's funny - you and little ole lady are homeshcooling moms; I'm a homeschooler. I need to convince my Mom to get a blog!

BTW, I finally gotcha linked.

I wish they could put Howard Dean on top of that sign and make him live there for a week.

Robosquirrel: My daughters and I have been to the Laura Ingalls Wilder home in Mansfield, Missouri since it is fairly close to where we live. But we would love to go to Walnut Grove in Minnesota also.

Don't worry about the tag thing, it was fun.

Texas Fred: I figure its nice to give links when you can so I didn't mind doing it even if you got it from someone else.

Rebekah: Thanks for the link. I've added you to the blogroll you as well.

GG: Good point!!!

All those Hollywood folks Bill sold nights in the Lincoln bedroom obviously didn't like the company :)

Like your list, my five habits are posted, but not really meant for folks under 18 or who don't like my sick sense of humor.

Patrick Joubert Conlon said...

How many Jane Austen movies are there, LMC? But I don't think they'd put me to sleep because they are too intellectually stimulating.

I've just loaned all my Austen novels to my neighbors' home-schooled teen daughter. They don't allow her to date (and I agree with them.) I'm hoping Austen will teach her how to court a beau in a civilized way.

Little Miss Chatterbox said...

Patrick: Jane Austen wrote 6 major books and there are good movies done on 5 out of the 6. They are very intellectually stimulating but when you've seen them many, many times they bring a sense of comfort also :-). They talk about a completely different culture where a woman's only hope was to marry well since they weren't allowed to have a career. I don't know how much help they will be in courting.

Great sign, great blog LMC.... keep up the excellent work.... been tagged already, so I'm a free man.. lol

Thanks, AbFreedom.

Seems to me that the VAST majority of men/women who were/are REAL combat soldiers would never try to paint a fellow veteran as a cowardly soul, even if they vehemently disagree. Like it or not, few people have earned the right to voice an objection to a military combat opperation more than Mr. Murtha

Little Miss Chatterbox said...

Nosthegametoo: While I respect Murtha's service the fact that he is a veteran doesn't make him immune from criticism. Especially when he makes comments that surely bring aid and comfort to our enemy.

Patrick Joubert Conlon said...

I don't know how much help they (AUsten novels) will be in courting.

I'm hoping Brianna will see that you have to proceed cautiously and make sure there are no misunderstandings as Austen's heroine always did - not be carried away by lust the way they are nowadays.

Glad to hear about Rush -- what were the circumstances?

Also, very interesting how Hollywood is distancing itself from Hillary -- how ironic -- not liberal enough, eh?

What does that tell you when even HILLARY is intelligent enough to realize Left of Left doesn't much cut it any more?

Ed Darrell said...

Your insults to veterans are duly noted.

Little Miss Chatterbox said...

Ed: I have NO idea what you are talking about. I have the utmost respect and love for veterans as has been demonstrated on this blog over and over again. It is America and we are allowed to disagree with anyone's comments, even veterans. And I would imagine that 98% of veterans disagree with Murtha's comments too so I'm sure I'm not alone.

By the way if you are going to troll around making hateful comments on people's blogs you might want to at least have a blog of your own.
